Quad R9 290x or Quad GTX 980 *liquid cooled*

I saw all the benchmarks, from a whole lot of sites, and I was going to go with the 290x but after I saw that a at 4k 3 290 cards CF is really only a handful of rames slower slower than 3 290x cards. So I saved about $250 by getting the 290s. Overall I think the largest gap I saw was about...

Quad R9 290x or Quad GTX 980 *liquid cooled*

Alright so I've decided to keep the pricing down until the 390 and 980ti hit, I bought 3 used MSI 290 4G cards used which should be a pretty decent improvement over my 770s along with a new 1500w PSU, so I should be set for a while before the new ones come out.

Quad R9 290x or Quad GTX 980 *liquid cooled*

Part of me wants to wait now till the 390x comes out. I did a bit of research and it seems the FX990 NB can support up to 38 PCIE 2.0 lanes, so I wouldn't run into a bottleneck so much as I thought I would on this, so I could always just throw a 3rd 770 into right now and wait the next comple...

Quad R9 290x or Quad GTX 980 *liquid cooled*

I'm looking at building my new rig, and I've about $5000 to put into at the moment. Right now I'm a bit torn on picking the R9 290x or GTX 980, I've done some pricing and I could save about $1000 dollars going with the R9 290x 4GB quad. I'm looking at liquid cooling the whole build and have...

Unknown cheap r9 290x vs well know expensive 290

Living in Japan as well, I notice the Gigabyte R9 290x was around $300-330 or so at some of the stores in akihabara. But I notice reviews showing it would had a high fail rate. But at the same time there was a large selection of people very happy with it. I initially thought about buying it...

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - anyone here excited about this game? update-reviews!

Working my way through it right now, I have to say it's great since I just beat Ryse, which personally pissed me off with that ending, great game though and the world was gorgous. I have to say though, being the 3rd game I'm working to beat this year isn't showing me much promise, hopefully...

what was your first pc gaming memory?

I couldn't say my first real experience, so I will go with my first experience I remember on my first "modified" computer, which would be day of defeat. I actually haven't been into PC gaming all that much, and despite getting my first computer about 12 years ago I didn't get into custom...
