I have a handheld machine called GP32 ( fan site here ) the whole thing is open source, so run whatever you want including an OS. I use it almost exclusively to play my old NES/SNES roms on an emulator.

Of course, i should have thought of that. I got the switch about the same time i started using bittorrent and (for some reason) assumed it was the switch causing the problem. Time for a better router then. More like saying the roads suck, but i see what you mean. Civics suck becuase they...

i have found that simply turning off bittorrent solves the problem, but it is still the switch's fault (or the router's) for not being able to handle the connections

I have 2 fans in a duct at the front of my main machine. They are both on rheostats and i find i have to adjust them both at once for optimum airflow and noise, i.e. if the speed ratio is wrong the whole thing vibrates and is inefficient. I might experiment with distance as well.

Hi, I would like to complain to the world that the 16 port Q-Tec 100mbit switch i bought is a pile of ****, and advise everyone not to buy their stuff. With only 2 or 3 machines plugged in and running normal internet apps, it takes less than an hour for my ping to a test site to go from 30ms...
