dear uncle BOB i tried to access to set the promise controller setting in BIOS.however,I can only enable/disable it.There is no option to set it as ide mode... Thank you for reply anyway.i think i gonna bring HD to test at the shop.if it work fine,i might sell it and buy IDE HD instead..
