Anyone try running it on a 5850 stock settings?

I found the problem guys, my old board ( P5Q Pro was using an extra stand off which was pressing in between the 2 and 3rd ram slots on the back of the motherboard. It was short circuiting the board whenever I had ram in slor 3 or 4. This makes sense because that was where it was rubbing...

Did you try the F10 Bios? Does your beep about 23 times before it reboots?

I flashed it to the latest Bios F10, still the same...

I am having the same issue on the same board, I have 2x2GB Crucial Balistix BaBL25664AR80A.16FE5 and they will not boot in slot 3 or 4, only slot 1 and 2. Is 2.2V really safe? Mine are rated for 2.0V at 800Mhz 4-4-4-12. I will try this tonight.

Thanks for the link! I guess it is save to run the ram that high? they are rated at 2.0v so 2.2 is not too high? I hope now. I will try it tonight.

What could cause the ram to work for months in dual channel for the person I bought it from then when he shipped it here it suddenly would not boot anymore like it was? Could static electricity damage the mb or ram when I was installing it? I never noticed any.

ram works in slot 1 and 2 together in single channel mode. Dont know whats going on. Im gonna try some more ram Monday when it comes in. If that doesnt work im going to have to RMA it i guess...

Well there is a guy who lives about 1 hour away who has a Thermaltake Armor Full Tower case and he just wants $50 for it. Im considering driving up there and picking it up. Thats a steal for $50 right?

I found this Cooler Master Centurion 590 http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?category_id=19&product_id=2709 for $50 shipped. seems like it is a little better than the Antec 300. It has really good reviews.

I'm on a budget but I would like to get a case ( even used or refurbished is fine) that will provide good airflow to a Q9500 @4Ghz with a Xigmatek S1283. Also something that can handle large video card (4870x2,5850 etc..) is a must. Any good deals out there now?
