I am building my first intel rig and it consists of ECS 945 GCT M 1333 3.0 E6750 mushkin DDR2 PC8500. My main question is will my mushkin ram run on this mobo? I bought the mobo and CPU in a combo deal and I want to use a low end mobo for a few months till I can save up for gaming board...

I've done some research and it seems that the EEPROM can be shorted from 2 pins,I don't know if I can post the link here or not though...

Can update the BIOS if if won't get passed the password screen.As said above I cleared the BIOS and removed the battery and it still doesn't work.The system has been without the battery for a few hours and the password still remains. Thanks anyways though...

Thanks for the link. I've found a way to get the HD to boot it took a while of fiddling with the jumpers though there are tons of combination with this old drive.I've copied the files on the HD but it appears only 3.47GB of files remained and the rest is history...if only there was a way to...

How can I do that? wouldn't I need to be in OS to do it? the HD wont boot to OS remember.If this is done is DOS then it would help.

Hey guys, My IBM Deskstar 20GB 37XX series Hard drive is dying and I need a way to backup the data on it to my new 100GB HD.I tried it on another system and windows won't load on safe or normal modes.How can I recover the data is it possible at all? I will consider a data recovery specialist...
