    Watercooling a laptop

Surely its a viable solution to having massively hot mobile Nvidia and ATI gPU's and their airplane sounding fans.

    Watercooling a laptop

Why would you carry water and a pump on board? It would be a closed system like a car's coolant and radiator system. The pump would be built into the laptop and ork off of the battery.

    Watercooling a laptop

Has anyone come up with a watercooling solution for laptops? Maybe I'm being naive but it doesn't seem that difficult to engineer. Rather then water, coolant could be used. The lid could have small fins on it to allow the coolant to release some heat. A little pump would push the coolant around...

I have WinXP Pro and ZoneAlarm Pro (latest version). I am trying to use a webcam with .NET Messenger over the internet. Zonealarm won't let the video stream through from my computer to the recipient. If I close Zonealarm then there is no problem but obviously this deefeats the purpose of having...

    wanna try watercooling. help please.

I would like to try my hand at watercooling my P4, Geforce 4 system. I'm pretty sure I wanna buy a kit rather than individual parts and I've been reading up on watercooling for a while now. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what manufacturer I go with and is there a kit that also caters for...

    Hardware Changes With XP Pro

I am running XP Pro on my system and I will be changing out the mobo, CPU, MEM and graphics card. I know I will probably have to reactivate my OS, but will I have to reinstall it?? With Windows 2000 you had to do a reinstall of the OS for motherboard changes to be recognized. Is this the same...

How long before there's a Xbox Emulator???

I give it 9 months. Basically the same OS as Windows 2000. Similiar programming language is used for games. All you have to do is fool the games into thinking the pc hardware is an XBOX's.

    Hardware Stores

Does anyone know of a good online UK based hardware retailer. I've got an order in with Komplett but a lot of the stuff I want, like PC2700 DDR, they won't have for a few weeks. What I'm after is a P4 1.8 (Northwood), 512MB PC2700 DDR, Geforce 4 4400, and a good mobo. I ideally want the Soyo...

    Windows XP impressions and experiences

I live in England and we have the data protection act here. Does Microsoft's activation process break that act and therefore the law? BTW, I use W2K. The only way I'd use XP is if they got rid of the activation.

    NT 4 & W2K Domain Question....

Yeah we've got a trust set up. What I failed to notice was that in to the one domain we use static ip addressing and in the other we use DHCP. Once I changed the static mapping to dhcp it logged on to the other domain with no problems. Thanks anyway.
