Dunno if this can have any relation, but there was smoke in the room the same night caused by a log falling out of a fireplace :P. I cant see any relation but something might of happened?

Yesterday, I began to receive serious slow downs in my computers performance. It suddenly began to crash randomly without any error message, just crashes. I thought it was a virus, and run Mcaffee, with an updated list and it came clean. Ofcourse,I had to run the virus scan several times because...

Nope. Er. I dont even have a modem installed. I got a sound card, scsi card, ethernet card and vid card. Im trying to tweak the vid i/o level. And It cant be dx8 cuz like I said, I have reformated, tried Dx6, 7 and 8.

Right now I am using the latest availble from Asus, non beta releas, 3.75 and I am using Dx8 Beta. But I have tried all drivers, defaults and what not and nothing worked. I even tried the Deno drivers from nvidia without any luck. Im going to try changing my vio voltage now..

OK Ill try that. I think I have a 300 watt supply. Not sure, maybe 250. Theres lots of stuff plugged into the wall, through like, 6 switches and bars. Could all that stuff be hogging power? I got 600watt speaker system plugged into the socket.

How do I change the vio voltage? I know somebody else who gets the problem. There is nothing incommon with our systems though.
