Nah, I plan to upgrade my mobo soon anyway, so if the 125w doesn't work when I install it on Monday, or if by chance it burns out the MOSFETs, I'll just upgrade the motherboard sooner, and pick up some DDR3. :cool:
Yeah, I was seeing that, however, the model they list is different the one I ordered from Newegg, which is a HDZ955FBGMBOX and is 125w. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103808
The model they listed is 95w. The wattage is where my concerns lie.
AM3 CPU's are backward compatible. My board does support AM3 chips.....

I'm wondering if I will be able to run a Phenom II X4 955 on my MSI K9A2GM-FIH mobo. I do have near-future plans in upgrading the board to a AM3/DDR3 board, but would like to use it just a little longer if I can. I saw nothing of this chip on the list MSI has up, however I did read somewhere...
