Well thanks for making me rethink things. I dropped my HTT multi to 3x and set my ram timings manually to be sure, and now I have a Prime overnight stable system running at 300MHz FSB (board max) for an OC of 2.7GHz. I still can try to tighten my ram timings a bit if I feel the need. I...
Maybe I didn?t state it well, but here are my findings from this procedure. I used ClockGen to get this.
Froze at 260 so max HTT = 1300
With HTT multi at 4x, can get FSB up to 300, board max = 2700 chip max
MemTest gave errors at anything above 215
So, shouldn?t I be able to do 9X...
I was hoping someone could explain to me why this is not working. I can boot to Windows at 250FSB, 4x HTT, and a 4:3 mem divider. I can take my FSB all the way to 280 and it's 5 minutes Prime stable. My question is, when I set FSB to 280 in the BIOS, it won't boot, why?
Does having all the...
I read an article yesterday that says they successfully put a BIOS from the M2N-SLI into the M2N-E. Do so at your own risk of course, but here's some info.
Thread
I just built a system and I went to get the latest BIOS from Asus's site. The one they had listed was older than the one in my board. So I saved it and here it is if anyone wants.
M2N-SLI 0404 BIOS
On one of my machines, my system drive was an IDE drive connected to the mobo via a SATA converter. I also had a second pure SATA drive on port2, this mobo only has two SATA ports. Everything was fine.
The drive were laying on the floor initially, then I put them in the case and took the...
I was given an old Vaio laptop from my father in law, model PCG-F610
AMD K6-2 550Mz
256mb ram
12.1 LCD
I opened it up and the LCD is cracked. Is it worth fixing or should I just eBay or AT FS/FT and get a $500-600 Dell deal? It works perfectly fine otherwise, so with an external...
You forgot shipping, $44.96 total. I guess it depends on your usage too, that little bit more speed may not really matter.
EDIT: Then you may as well get the Kingston Elite Pro from Buy.com for $50 instead.
Corsair 512mb
9MB/s read - 7MB/s write (mfgr's site specs)
$27.99 after $10 rebate
or for a little more if you prefer Patriot and no rebate:
Patriot 512mb
9MB/s read (mfgr's specs) write speed not on their site but many internet sites state 8MB/s
$32.08 no rebate
I tend to agree, I rarely buy anything at a B&M, but for right now the coupon will make it reasonable. In other words, unless you pay for faster shipping from Amazon, if you want a book for an x-mas gift, B&M it is...
Actually this is ok.
You may post:
