get the ASUS W3V. It uses hypermemory so if you get more ram your vid card gets more ram. I'm running 2x512mb and my vid card lists 256mb of ram.

I would go to Frys and buy a fujitsu laptop.

I have the W3V and I would say its ok for portability. I am also a student so I know what you would be going through. I bought a sleeve for it and plan to use that and put it into my Northface backpack. I have to admit though it is a little tight and wouldn't recommend it if you expect to bring...

Nice pics!! Wow you definently sold me on getting this dock now. I really wanted a setup like that to hook up to my 19" LCD monitor. The only thing i wish was that my 19" lcd monitor had an S-video connection so i could hook it up digitally to my lappy. I dunno how i will like using VGA instead...
