yeah - i went ahead and traded my 2.8E for a 2.8C - and i got a Thermalright SLK948U to cool it :)

ive thought of cancelling my order to get a northwood instead, but i decided not to, if the prescott is terrible in the first couple days, i'll just return it for a northwood. no biggie.

i was also wondering how i would go about overclocking a p4 - since ive only had amd machines, all i had to do was adjust the multiplier and be happy - but with this p4 im not sure how to go about doing all the settings and such.

i dont care for a huge overclock - all i am looking for is to get it to about 3.2 to 3.5... i do a lot of 3D design and stuff like that, so the thing that made me choose prescott over the northwood was the 1MB L2 cache. so if i can get it to 3.4 or 3.5 - that would be ideal. hopefully the...

Hey - I have been an AMD freak for the majority of my computer life - I just ordered a new computer and I was wondering what i should expect out of it as far as overclocking goes. -BTW, im not using stock cooling, i have a vantec aeroflow v1 for it.
