Yes I've tried the new ROM. It's quite nice. The new Opera is excellent and the new Document tab is nice too. But I personally still like OpenZaurus 3.2 better because it looks so much better and I like it's package install system. Oh and OZ also syncs better for me.

I'm not quite sure why you're having so many problems. For me, installing Konqueror involved starting Qtopia desktop, right clicking konqueror-snapshot-full from the "Software" tab then hitting install. It downloaded and installed and I was set to go. This was under OZ 3.2 by the way.

Are you in Windows or Linux? If it's Windows then the file is ftp://ftp.trolltech.com/qtopia/source/qtopiadesktop-1.6.0.exe--standard executable installer. Very easy. It has a lot of good things and is worth the upgrade. Just try it. ;)
