They just refuse to work, and I don't know why. The error is this: http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/8489/errorkz4.jpg It gives this error with anything I try to download. However, Automatic Updates seem to work fine. I've tried Internet Explorer as well. Does anyone know what causes this?

Finally! I fixed it! The problem was that the DCOM Server Process Launcher service was disabled.

Well everything else seems to work fine. Like I said though, I disabled a lot of services, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Are there any services that may be required? Edit: I got Windows updates to work. So maybe that'll help. They're installing now. Edit2: Nope...

If that's the case, then it might be the problem. Cause when I shut down my PC without closing Trillian, sometimes it'll deactivate some of my plugins. However, it could be something else.

I think you mean partition the hard drive? If so, Partition Magic worked great for me when I wanted to test out Linux. I may test out Vista soon as well.

I also recommend uTorrent. I used Azureus for a long time but it bogged down my PC a lot. uTorrent seems to slow down my internet more than Azureus did for some reason, but other than that it's much better as far as system memory usage goes. Just try it out.
