Hey was checking, I have the same issue, I use a Samsung 32' Bravia. I have my consoles hooked up to it via HDMI, my TV is set to passthrough the raw audio to my Z-5500 as well. Now the consoles get 5.1 perfectly. PS3 games that support true digital sound trigger the mode in my speakers.
Issue...
Yea the physical board game I know is easy. This one I am looking for was one I played on the Tandy PC growing up. Had simple CGA type graphics.
Issue is, try finding it.. you either get payday loans or board game, nothing about the old dos game. Just the new GBA one.
While I am at it, wouldnt mind finding the game Candyland either. Least I find proof that it exists on amazon for THAT game.

But cant find that for download either.
Hey all, Just trying here case I get lucky. Ive already searched the main dos sites, hell even on google it seems not to exist. Used to play it on the Tandy. The Board game Payday, they had a PC version of it too. Seems tho I cant find it anywhere. Was wondering if anyone may know where it might...
Ok found out whats causing the hum... its NOT the cables from the PC or into the control box, took those out, seems when the z5500 is on 6 ch direct mode.. it has the hum.. when I change it to anything else, its gone. So its not the hookup to the audio card.. just something with the speakers...
Not sure.. but yea the xbox is hooked direct to the z5500 via optical, on the pc... not sure how I can tell if its outputting in 5.1 or if its just stereo on all speakers...
Wish I knew how to be 100% certain that my PC is doing 5.1 on dvds and games.
Also any way to get rid of the hum on...
Ill read up on it now, see what I find, however that still wont be perfect since we here have the z-5500. Kinda hard for them to say the best setup I think.
Also still doesnt answer if it will be better to use my Xbox for DVD (Optical) or my PC in Analog mode.
Ok when you do that 1/8 to 1/8 cable.. where are you hooking that up? The Aux inputs? Does that actually know its a digital signal? Whats the difference between using this cable vs the coax? Also when people say Coax, are they talking like things like your TV cable using a adapter at the ends to...
When you say "3 of those" You mean buy 3 of the male/male stereo cables? Where would I plug those into??Not sure if thats what Id need...
I mean was looking at how to utilize the COAX input of the speakers using the "Digital out" from the audigy 2 zs. That guide thats posted here wasnt 100%...
Well still doesnt tell me if 5.1 is different on analog or digital.. I mean do I lose anything really or will I still get true 5.1 no matter what mode I use?
Also I went to radio shack.. we both were confused as what that item the guy was talking about to hooking up coax.
Can someone...
Ok so DTS and all that 5.1 tech stuff should work fully in analog mode then technically? Also do the speakers itself tell you on the control panel if the 5.1 is working correctly? Like for xbox, and dvds etc?
Im looking at that post that talks about that guy using BOTH digital and analog...
Hey 1st off NICE guide and reading stuff here... Im waiting for UPS to unload my z-5500 off her truck now. ^_^
I have also installed the Audigy 2 ZS as well.. looking at Digital vs Analog.
Couple confused questions...
1: If you need analog for games etc.... why even bother with...
