Actually... That seems a tad slow.... I've got a 1800+ AMD and ATI 9800 Pro and I get about the same score. The processor doesn't made a HUGE difference, but it does effect the score. I would have expected a score close to 6K for you.

What about this for a reason: It puts you in the 3ghz realm. I think that is one reason people opt for the A64 3000+.
