True. Unfortunately it appears that premiere and after effects wont fully use all the cores past about 10 which sucks, so that new platform should be much faster for that. Wish I could just build a modern system with two brand new xeons :-D Maybe one day.

I can understand waiting for the broadwell and it may verywell be faster in some uses. But for me I believe the dual e5's will be quite a bit faster in cinema 4d. Also im looking forward to the e5 v2's dropping in price one day for a nice upgrade. Looks like up to 12 core chips will be...

Ive decided to jump on this wild ride. Cant pass up those processors at that price. I was able to get 2 e5-2670 for $125 on ebay. Then found a motherboard for not too bad price after they started going through the roof. Supermicro X9DAE-O for $400. Sure its high for an old mobo but the rest...
