Did you plug a 4 prong molex connect in the top left spot of your 24 pin connecter? this Mobo needs both of the connecters in at the same time to work.

Ok I got off the phone with their support that is hard to understand (go figure), he said that it is most likely the power supply, its not a name brand so I should get another one with at least 350w and 20 amps in the 12v line. Anyone got a suggestion of what type I should get? none over $100...

Would insuffeciant power cause it to freeze and have looping sound though? If the power wasnt high enough wouldnt the comp just restart?

It was actually $40 when I bought it, but I am starting to suspect that it is due to power, as it freezes of times during the greatest stress, and this video card does need a power plug, which is odd for a PCI-E card. Got one that you could reccomend that isnt more than about 60-70?
