Need a board for my new SLI build. Based on reviews I want to go with EVGA, but everyone is out of stock on the A1 revision. Newegg has the T1 LT model in stock and the only difference I can see based off of EVGAs site is the LT has 4 USB ports while the others have 6+4. Beyond that am I missing...
I've mainly been looking at the Creative cards, possibly the X-Fi gamer. But from the pics they all seem to have stereo out, mic, line in and the SPDIF jack. Shouldn't the card I need have 2 extra jacks? I need the mic jack, so I don't want to reassign anything.
I got the Logitech X-540s and I am needing a new sound card. The 540s have 3 plugs (green, black and orange I believe) but all the sound cards I am looking at only have the one green jack. I want true 5.1 support from my sound card without having to use the matrix mode on the speakers. What...
So for real world application, what do these scores mean in terms of gaming? You guys hitting 14k plus, what settings can you run Crysis in? I'm looking to build a new system but still debating on whether or not to go SLI.
Thanks for all the input. I've decided to go with the Q6600. Next I have to decide whether or not to go SLI. Anyone know if the evga 680i A1 or T1 boards will support the Penryns?
I am basically going for the same kind of settings as the above poster has, but I am also going for a new 22" monitor so I am looking to hit a resolution of 1680x1050. Will that be doable? I'm also not sure if I'm going SLI right off the bat. With everything else, I have to see if I can squeeze...
Thanks for the welcome :)
I wanted to take advantage of the 8800 GT's price and go SLI. I figure when the next set of cards come out, anything that is worth the upgrade will be more than I want to spend. I'd rather get the most powerful setup now while I can save the cash and push back the...
I am building a new gaming rig and want it to run Crysis well. I have decided to go with the eVGA SLI A1 or T1 board and run a couple of 880GT's. Now I am trying to decide what CPU to buy. I am mostly considering the Q6600 or the e6850, but am also thinking about the e6750 for the $90 savings...
