I believe I NOW have discovered the problem: I had checked the "New AI features and settings panel" under Set Raw Defaults
After I have unchecked this and tried Bridge again, all of the problems have gone away!
I appreciate the help that all of you have offered.
Michael
I have come to the tentative conclusion that my problem with Bridge is that it is not purging my cache automatically after I have finished working with a particular file. It just keeps adding more files to the cache. Is there a way to set Bridge to purge the cache automatically? I don't see...
Here us a sample message from event view. There is a long stream of them, including one from today (18th) even though I have not tried to use Bridge or PS today.I'm going to try rebooting and see what happens.
Hi Davey,
My C: drive is an SSD. I have a great many drives--too many to list. The problem has arisen in the past 30 to 45 days. It may coincide with my go back and reprocessing some old photos, from 2008 etc. I'm going to do more investigation on that.
Thanks for your input.
Mike
I am having terrible problems with Adobe Camera Raw. When I am processing files with it, it is VERY slow, jerky, and virtually unusable. After I perform any operation on a file, it clogs up completely and takes minutes to unclog. The computer I use has the following specs:

Thanks for your help.
1. I have done nothing but select the GPT option. I did not actually initialize it.
2. I have found DISKPART, and the drive appears there (as 16 TB!).
3. But I don't know what to do next.
4. You state that GPT is the correct partition table, but my other large drives are...

Immediately after I connected it, I was asked to...
Recently I have begun running the latest Camera Raw, and I have found that rendering/response time is much slow that with older versions. My graphics card is NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, and I have 64 Gigs of system memory in a Win10 64 system. Some of my work uses very large files from a...
I have just installed a GA-K8N-Pro SLI MB. When I boot and go into BIOS setup, the drives are not recognized. So I try recognizing them manually, and there they are (including CD ROM). So I quit setup and save the settings. Boot again. Go back into setup. No hard drives or CD ROM!
This may...
Thanks for this information. It was my inclination to go with a dual-core, and now I feel confirmed in that. Maybe my crash was a godsend in disguise, and the universe truly is unfolding as it should!
Best regards,
Mike
I currently have an AMD Athlon 64 3500 processor. My work is strictly business and photography related (such as Corel graphics, statistical analysis, Photoshop). Since a crash has necessitated a reinstallation, I am considering upgrading my processor to an X2 (maybe a 3800 or 4400) in...
