It's not even that close to Strix Halo.
Not exactly comparable since that's mobile 5050 which is the same chip with the same CU number, but GDDR7 with 20% more BW but much slower core clocks and lower TDP than the desktop part. Still well ahead of the 890M though.
The RTX 5050 is still miles...
The 5060 is 33% faster and in stock everywhere for 20% more money at $300. 9060XT 8GB is in stock all over the place at $300 (and a bunch at NE that are $270 on promotion) and is 44% faster.
What a dog.
I've had GPUs that would run Furmark fine and crash in games before, even without things like RTX. If you can borrow another similar GPU to test with, that would be ideal.
You can also submit a minidump or full dump to MS, they can often help provide more information on how to track down the error.
4N is hardly bleeding edge at this point. I don't see a size listed, but GB206 was slightly smaller than AD106 with the same number of cores so you'd have to assume that a 2560 core GB207 is going to be smaller than a 3072 core 159mm² AD107. If margins at $250 are bad for this card they must be...
It's problem isn't even the 4060. The 5060 is in stock at its $300 MSRP all over the place, and it has twice the memory bandwidth and 50% more shaders than this thing for only 20% more money.
This should be a $200 card, $250 is laughable.
Yeah, MSRP 16GB models have been available for shipping all morning in Canada. That might change once that $40 discount goes away, but at least for right now it's very different from the 9070 XT launch. $380 triple fan models have tonnes of stock too.
I'd rather have GDDR6 if it knocks $20+ off the price of a card. A 2560 core 5050 is unlikely to benefit much from the 448Gbps the 5060 has, just toss a half decent grade of GDDR6 on it.
Nothing wrong with releasing it to the mass market IMO. $250 might be pushing it with the 5060 readily...
The 5060 Ti is basically half a 5070 Ti and the 9060XT is half a 9070XT, so slotting into that same performance class as the 7700XT and 5060 Ti is kind of expected.
That's insane, and almost has to be wrong. Sure it has VAT, but so does this and it's currently in stock at Mindfactory.
Who's saving 10% to drop from a 9070 XT to a €650 9060XT?
That's part of the reason why "right settings" is such a disingenuous argument when it comes to VRAM limitations. It's not like you try ultra and you're getting 40FPS so you drop it to high and it's better at 70 now. That's pretty reasonable for someone to do.
Instead you try ultra and it's...
In some cases I get the early pushback, where there might be cases highlighted where an 8GB card is getting single digits at 4K in some game and a 16GB competitor is running low 20s. Yeah, 200% faster but neither are really playable.
There are so many examples like this now where the large...
