If you don´t mind the card taking up 3 slots, I´d recommend the ASUS 6950 DirectCUII.

What about the ASUS DirectCu II 6950 2GB? Given it takes 3 slots, but its barely audible at all and doesn´t get hot even under load.....

what about the noctua nh-d14 or nh-d12? i´ll be swapping my aging e-6750 with a x3330 and right now i´m using an arctic cooling freezer 7, so i also need a new cooler....

while i think that for the average user a ssd indeed is overkill, its perfect for other uses. i´ve built a htpc for a friend of mine and had first used a normal hdd as system disc (win7 media center) and then tried a relatively cheap a-data ssd with 32gb. the difference was like night and day...

I´m sorry, Caboob, i don´t know the batch number of that cpu. All i can tell you that it was bought in November last year. Right now i´m looking for an affordable watercooling solution because i feel i can take that cpu even higher with better cooling. All in all i´m pretty content with this...

I´ve been running my Gigabyte GA8SINXP1394 with a 2.4B at 2.91 stable for about 3 weeks now just with air cooling (boxed cooler) and default voltage. I´m using 2x256MB Corsair PC3500.

GP3 is Microprose Grand Prix 3 by Geoff Crammond - one of the best if not the best Formula One racing games/simulations. (Though i believe Microprose was sold to some big publisher but i don´t remember who that was)

Thanks AppleTalking, i have the latest powervr series 3 drivers installed and directx 8.0a. I also reinstalled everything including the via 4in1 ver. 4.31 but nothing helped. Do you think they would care if would write them that a rather old game (but very good nonetheless) doesn´t work...

Hi everybody, at the weekend i was playing some older games including jedi knight - at least i tried to play it. installation and menu are ok, but when i start the game the screen is completely screwed up. I found a powervr patch at 3dfiles.com but that didn´t work. Anyone who knows a solution...

I´ve been running the Hercules Prophet 4500 for a couple of days in my pc now and the 2d quality is as excellent as the matrox g400 i had before. at least up to 1280@85Hz - cause i have just a 19" monitor ;)
