Good suggestions, Also make sure the video card is AGP 3.0. Meaning it runs at either 4X or 8X. This mobo will not support 1X or 2X. Look to see if the LED next to your AGP slot is on, if it is your video card is the problem.

Guys, I am don't think that this MOBO has an onboard case temperature sensor. I have an external on my case and it reads between 24C and 33C depending on the day. So motherboard monitor is reading back only a default value of room temperature (25C).

NO, technically it is not true. It is a line of crap. Gigabyte has memory compatibility problems and any technician that tries to tell you it is because of AMD is full of it. There are many other A64 mother board vendors that have absolutely no problem with ANY double sided memory you throw...

It seems that everyone is having the same results with the F2d Bios. I just wrote Gigabyte back to see what?s going on with the new rev that will implement the good things from F2d and enable all the things that are currently disabled. I will let you guys know what they say..

Keljian are you sure you are talking about f2d and not f2b? Because something doesn't add up.

What do you mean by good?? the only thing that I found to be good in the F2D bios was the fact that my memroy settings stuck in Manual mode. Is everything else working for you?? Overclocking, Easttune tabs, etc...

I get similar results. My CPU temp reading in Sandra is 39C but my reading in both Easytune and Motherboard monitor are both 51C. I haven't seen anything from AMD stating what the nominal die temperature for this chip is and I have looked many different datasheets.

I also got the F2d Bios version and it did reduce my temperatures significantly but I am still not sure if it is right. The reason why I say this is because they may not have entered the calibration coefficients because this is a non release version of the bois, which may be why they aren?t...

Yea I was planning on that but my thermal grease tube is old im gonna get a new tube first. Thanks for the suggestion though it is good to hear im not the only one who has had a problem with the grease they applied at the factory.
