They failed the laser calibration. (Or at least that was the error message I was getting from the burners.) In other words the burners wouldn't even start burning them. I tried the top five discs and gave up.

Its a gamble. I've had them work and not work. I also got a spindle of 100 that would not work at all. I tried them in two different burners and it was no go. Now I just steer clear of them.

I don't think that model has a functional USB port. Only the MS-6501-020 and MS-6501-030 do.

Try submitting the e-mail you got from Dell showing the order date. Maybe they'll let that slide in. I was worried about the same problem, so I called Dell on 2 May to see if they would bill me before shipment. Instead they offered to knock $25 off the order. I still haven't received the drive...

I think the IO Magic card can capture full screen video (720x480). Can it? I believe the other only captures half screen video. However since they don't like to publish hard specs on their cards I'm not really sure. Does anyone know?
