    Well if it works if you connect another power supply (to just the hard drive correct?) and it works fine the power supply in the pc isnt enought for the system. Like the other member said switch out the PS and see if that solves it...BUT it sounds like a PS problem.

    How come there is no Fiber optic Desktops?

    Just curious why no Motherboard manufacturer hasnt toyed with the idea of at least making the inside's of a pc run via fiber optics instead of copper I mean they do it for Internet why not the desktop itself . I bet it would make leap and bounds for computer development? Just a thought any ideas...

    Ok I read your MB specs and it has SPDIF out for sound which is digital but your speakers should have inputs for 5.1 digital sound and your Sound utility should allow you to configure it for 5.1 ..
