    Recommend the most cost efficient computer to run SETI

    http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=637014 XP1700+ "B" cores, if one trace on top is cut, yous got a XP2400+ @ 2GHz... 12GHz for < $1300 I'm currently hunting for UK equivilent components & prices but I'm having trouble finding the motherboards atm.

    So what should I be doing with my dual xeon 2.4s w/ HT? Run 4 instances? Going to have a play around and see what makes the biggest difference - FreeBSD w/ HT & w/o HT and Gentoo w/ HT & w/o HT

    OT - Hackers - Just an FYI

    Somebody I know owns his own hosting company, that hosts around 2000 websites- from personal pages with 1 or 2 hits a year (*cough*) to a couple tech sites. It was hacked last weekend and all the sites were replaced with dodgy "tag" pages. Bloody n0bbin h4x0rs :x

    Speaking of racks... I found some really good materials for building a crackrack in my RS Electronics product listings... they are like big sheets of stiff rubber with dimples in (that are designed to grab onto the edges of PCBs) and spacing "legs". I think it was £20 for 2 sheets of the dimple...

    fnar... getting better and better... still have 2 more machines to finalize. They are on a remote ADSL line thats been playing up recently (the boosts in my production are from them 2 machines dumping a hellah load of WUs when the connection comes back up). BT have stated that the problem lies...
