It's not " budget" build as I don't really have a budget. But I'd like to not overspend where I can.
I've also decided to get 3,2 GHz Ram from Corsair.
I've decided on the 5700 xt Red Dragon. It's about 80$ more than 2060, and the same price as 2060 Super over here. I think the extra...
1 TB Intel 660p is 135$ over here. I'm not sure I'll need it since I already have a 4 TB HDD and another 240 GB SSD.
I definitely won't need 32 GB RAM, since I don't do video-editing.
My research says the difference between 2800 MHz and 3200 MHz is negligible. In benchmarks the difference in...
After 7 years of use, my old PC finally stopped working. It's not time for a new build. I'll be carrying some parts with me from my old build, but otherwise most things will be new:
Do these parts make sense?
(all prices are converted from danish, and may differ from US prices)

Someone on Tom's hardware helped me resolve the issue.
I'm not exactly certain whether this is the correct place to ask this, but yesterday I upgraded my 5½ -year-old PSU with a RM650x. My computer is a intel 4570, GTX 770, B85M-G. Everything seemed to work fine throughout the entire day after...
I wasn't aware you could install it from the outside, as most PC build videos install the CPU in the case and then proceed to do all the cabling. Though if you could start off with doing all the cables and then put it inside the case, that seems like the best way to do it.
Thanks for the tip...
I recently got a good deal on an `RM650x for $80, bit the bullet and got one despite not intending to upgrade my computer fully for a few years to come.
I'm going to replace an old XFX bronze that came with my prebuilt PC from five years ago (i.e. a shop built for me, not as in one from HP or...
Perhaps I'm overestimating the consumption, an article stated 100 watt idle was normal, and factoring in I use 10-15'ish hours of video games a week , 150 seemed like a fair estimate when averaging out during sessions of heavier use. Though then again, I have a i5 4570 and a GT 770.
My computer...
My computer currently uses a bronze rated XFX power supply, and today I was making some calculations regarding how much my computer impacts my electricity bill and I came up with something like this:
(assuming average 150 watt power draw)
(150 J/s * 3600 seconds/hour * 14 hours/day * 365...
Good point, though there isn't to my knowledge any way to replace the fans on the graphics card?
And what you mean by "quiet case"?
It may be worth noting that my wooden desk has a special compartment for the desktop so that it is covered by 1.5 cm of wood on all sides but the back which...
I have a GTX 770, and my PSU isn't particularly effective either, it is a standard XFX bronze rated PSU.
I wouldn't say either are particularly loud though it's hard to hear over my CPU and chassis fans.
The purpose of the upgrade is to make it silent while I work on the computer during...
My PC is roughly 5 years old and has stock cooler master chassis fans and stock Intel fans for its i5 4570.
I finally decided to try to upgrade its fans to be more quiet, and I'm thinking of going with the Noctua U12S for the CPU and a single NF-S12A PWM as the back exhaust. I've never built a...
Oh my gosh, after tinkering with settings and bios, updating everything to the newest version, and being in the middle of buying a new PSU, I checked the power settings plan, and for some reason The CPU Was Capped at 5% power...
Everything seems to work now, thank you so much
I updated the benchmark screenshot to dropbox, it should show up now

Here's what CPUZ and Open Hardware Monitor look like after five minutes of stress testing with p95.
Temperatures didn't really rise that much, and power draw was...

In the above screenshot are benchmarks for my CPU, right is from 6 April and left is from today. As you can see, there's been a sudden 80% decrease in benchmark performance.
Over the past two days my computer started running running...
