    Audigy LS vs Audigy1 X-Gamer...

I think there are differences between an Audigy Xgamer and an Audigy LS. The Audigy LS doesn't seem to be based on the Audigy chipset. Another point to note is its EAX support, users of Audigy LS can't use EAX 4.0 like the rest Audigy and Audigy 2 series...another Creative doesn't have EAX 4.0...

    Simple Power Supply Quesion

I think you need to look up your power supply spec and see if current from +5V/+12V can meet total +5V/+12V currents from all of your devices. Correct me if I am wrong

Repairing Dead/Fixed Pixels on an LCD??

LCD panel is just like CRT tube. If it's defective, there is nothing you can do about it except replacing it. I learned this from my boss. He fixes CRT/LCD monitors for wholesalers

What is the Fastest Dial Up Modem?

Phone line is the limiting factor. The line may be too old. Some phone company even let multiple customers share a single phone line(It happens in New Zealand). I also want to say chipsets are important as well. I have three 56K modems(Topic,Rockwell,Motorola). Among them, motorola/rockwell...

Recomendations for Lcd Flat Panel Monitor

300-400USD should be a 15' one. I have both 15' and 17' TFT-LCD monitor. I feel 17" LCD screen size isn't much bigger than a 15" one. (This is how I feel) Tomshardware has review and guide on both 15' and 17' LCDs.You amy want to check it out!

New PIV Celeron with 512K L2 cache?

That's a good point. I guess it's a software error. I remember when I play with x86 assembly langugae last year, the Intel processor can't read the cache sizes from the CPUID instruction, but AMD can. I don't know how SiSoft works that 512K L2 out. The strange thing is if it's indeed a 256K L2...

    Disappointing performance.. Please help

I think it depends on the colcour depths the 3Dmark2002. You probably run at 32bit colcour depths instead of 16 bits. The reason is : 1.My PIII-550 with TNT2 M64 scored around 550-600 points under 32bit depth and 1050 points under 16 bit depths. 2.My PIV-1700MHZ(Celeron) with TNT2 M64 scored...

    amd barton, sis735,and hammer

Sure it will....not by much I guess. I think SIS 735/745 will support latest Barton processor. Those two chips are the last AthlonXP chipsets from SIS. This clearly indicates SIS is confident that thoses chipsets can deal with Barton. No company will give up the already hard earned market share...
