The Unofficial ASUS P5N-E SLI 650i Board Thread

The "Unlinked" setting doesn't actually unlink the FSB and memory bus. It still uses dividers just like Linked mode. It just automatically chooses the divider that is closest to what you entered. In your case, it was using a 1:1 divider since that is the closest it could come to having a 387.5...

The Unofficial ASUS P5N-E SLI 650i Board Thread

How bizarre. When I booted into Windows in dual-channel mode, CPUZ showed the memory as still being at 2T. I went into the BIOS and changed the settings from AUTO to 2T for the memory and now it is running fine in the black slots. I guess the BIOS was secretly clocking the memory to 1T and then...

The Unofficial ASUS P5N-E SLI 650i Board Thread

I'm having the same problem with my board. I've tried three different sets of 2x1GB memory and it will not run in dual-channel mode without massive instability. It doesn't matter what timings, speed, or voltages the memory is set to and it does it in both the yellow and black slots. However, the...

The Super Talent memory I got is the same way. It will run 4-3-3-8 2T no problem but will not do 1T no matter how loose I make the timings.

Good to see that the 412MHz for the FSB isn't a hardcoded BIOS limitation.

The price has dropped to $149.99 at ZZF. Newegg is also now stocking it at $149.99 but they are charging shipping.

I would have thought that RC5 pretty well established that the answer is a really long time and a whole lot of computing power.

    GM new incentive program

Chery is a company, not a car. They are a second-tier car manufacture that produces cars of sub-standard quality, even by Chinese standards. They are also being imported by a company led by Malcolm Bricklin, who has managed to drive his automotive businesses into bankruptcy on 3 separate...

    GM new incentive program

Had you actually bothered to check some basic facts in your rush to bash American cars, you would have seen that the Fusion is a midsize car compared to the compact sized Civic. If you compare apples-to-apples, it looks like this. 4 cylinder Manual transmission: Ford Fusion, 23/31 mpg, 160...

DPAD: Question about Sample File Size

Is there any advantage in setting DPAD to use the solenoidsto15cm_500 sample file versus the default solenoidsto15cm_100 file?

I have a pretty major question and would like everyone to chime in!

I feel obligated to chime in and defend the honor of GIMPS/Prime95. Finding a new mersenne prime may not change the world, but they do have some practical applications in encryption. The RCxx projects, on the other hand, have no practical application. RC64 spent almost 5 years and an insane...

Any way to disable AXP Barton Speed Throttling?

I just bought a Mobile 2400+ Barton processor that I put in my Shuttle SN45 XPC. It runs fine at 200x12 at 1.8v. However, when it goes under heavy load (like running a distributed computing project or whatnot), the CPU throttling kicks in and scales the speed back 200-300 MHz. The CPU...
