    Game Droughts WHY!

Obviously, to you, it is. Then maybe you are indeed better off with another platform. Most people who like PC games probably won't say that UT2003, BF1942 and AA are pretty much the same thing - that's like saying there hasn't been a point to the FPS genre since Doom or something. It's simply a...

HTML: Possible to Imbed a Frame Within a Table?

W0t? I mean, I know what you're talking about, but how do iframes substitute $_GET? :Q

Anyone know how to get Divx 5 pro to VCD?

VCD is MPEG1, so you'll need to reencode. You're looking for this guide ("AVI to VCD / SVCD").

    Mozilla certainly can display iframes.

just found a backdoor virus on system, help!!!!!!

Well, it's a trojan, not a worm, so it didn't necessarily come as an email attachment, although that remains a possibility. It could have been wrapped around a perfectly normal application, for instance - at least that's what "classic" trojans do.

    Game Droughts WHY!

Neverwinter Nights, that definitely is one of those extraordinary games. I didn't play it a whole lot, but the 20 to 30 odd hours I played its main campaign co-op with a friend were awesome.

    Game Droughts WHY!

It's spelled "Deus Ex". Sorry, but seeing it spelled wrong 3 times in 3 comments just made me wince. :P And while I also haven't played anything extraordinary good recently, there certainly were a few games other people enjoyed incredibly - Warcraft 3, Mafia, Battlefield 1942, Medieval: Total...

Morrowind intermittently hanging for 4-5 seconds every few minutes....

Google. NoCD patches, while incredibly useful for legal owners of games, (and hardly a nuisance to pirates) are illegal, and direct linking them here is prohibited. But seriously, Google.

command line question in Windows 2000

I was wondering why even though I set the autocomplete for tab, it didn't work. Hmm, it works for me. When I enter a partial file/directory name and press tab, it completes to matching paths. What did you use to activate it? The registry key controlling the setting (or at least one of them) is...

command line question in Windows 2000

You won't find a command.exe on a normal Windows system, but try looking for command.com and you might be surprised. :) And thus, running command does not start cmd.exe (which would greet you with the words "Microsoft Windows XP"), it starts command.com and greets you with "Microsoft(R) Windows...

    Linux chat prog?

Yes, of course there are, more than worth mentioning here. One popular example is licq. A whole list is available on freshmeat - note the subcategories for ICQ, AIM and IRC compatible programs.

The easiest way to File Transfer????

Just for reference, sending a large file as an attachment to an email is a bad idea since the encoded version of the file which is transferred is significantly larger (like 30%) than the original file. Also, most email programs aren't designed to download attachments larger than a megabyte or...

The easiest way to File Transfer????

I don't know about AIM, but ICQ (for Windows) is able to resume file transfers, and has been for a long time. Setting up an FTP or HTTP server is certainly a good solution, but it takes some time to set up properly. Snail-mailing her a CD is another idea. ;)
