You could have easily bought an RTX 3060 laptop for around $1000 on Black Friday deal. Huge upgrade from 970.

Nvidia uses memory compression technology but I have no idea if that helps cards utilize frame buffer more efficiently. If such a magic technology actually works, then 8GB should be enough for the time being till 1440p resolutions. But I don't know if it helps.

No way it would have been $179 even without mining. It would have replaced 5600xt at $249. That's its natural price point. So AMD is pocketing an extra $79 due to mining.

But 1650 super is also 4gb card, rx 570 is also 4gb but that hasn't made any difference. They are all 3 times more expensive than msrp

Please no. 4GB 6600 should be a crime. Its even worse than 4GB 3050 and 3050Ti. Hopefully they do 8 and 16GB models.

If you keep the shortage due to miners aside, component prices have gone up 20-25% so that would impact the cost of graphics card by atleast 10%. So if it weren't for pandemic, 6600xt would be $300. Now adding increased component prices into the mix, 6600xt should be $330. So its $50 overpriced...

No its not. Because then why are gaming laptops prices not gone up much? 10-20% increase in prices could be explained by chip shortage but not 200-300% increase.

8gb*2 dual channel ram will increase your fps and provide higher 1% lows than single 8gb even with Intel integrated graphics in a lot of games.

Most recent big movies were disappointing. Tomorrow War was bad, Quiet Place 2 was good but inferior to the first film, Black Widow was not good.
