Correction...mine is a VT-2960 not a VT-2910, so I don't know if this has an answering machine. Oh, well. Didn't need two answering machines anyway. That would only confuse all callers.- Mogul

I have this exact phone (at least it looks exactly the same) and it does have an answering machine. It is a very sturdy and good phone. I paid over a hundred dollars for it a few months ago. I did this $39.00 deal for another. Good catch! If only Staples wasn't Suck...- Mogul
