Itunes crashes with or without the ipod attached. I just tried version 4.9 itunes with no luck.
It brings up a license screen I click accept then it crashes on a similar error to what you got. Funny thing is when I install itunes it opens up a system folder and also opens some other windows...
I've had no luck getting itunes 4.8 installed successfully.
I keep getting error when I try to run it.
So far I've tryed
1. Repairing
2. uninstalling QT and Itunes
3. Removing reg keys and then uninstalling QT and Itunes
4. doing #3 and deleting folders.
I can't even get Itunes to run after a fresh install of XP. No ipod connected yet. :( I do have an ipod mini that I'd like to put more songs/podcasts/audiobooks on.

I wonder how many audio tracks one can run in cubase with one of these.
What kind of brute force decrypting tools are there out there? I just did the reinstall during december and now can't access some old PDF files I had encrypted.

My ram is PC4000 kingston HyperX..
I noticed a notable speed boost going from a PIII 1 GHz to my current setup however some stuff still seems to run better on my old machine.
I've had issues with scsi drives crapping out on me in the past. I had a 9GB part of a raid that one day became a 0GB! It seemed like the performance degraded exponently over time.
I got the same ERROR you got recently. I haven't tried the low level format yet. What did you use to format?
I can see the hard drive via linux but can't see it with a dos6.22 boot disk
