Your HDD will work in the new machine if you install the new drivers, but the old stuff will still be there and makes your system slow. It´s better to reinstall!
If the missing file was called NTLDR or sth. like that you have to run fdisk /mbr and format. If the error is still there then you can try to install Win from another CD (a friend´s one perhaps...).
Perhaps the fan headers don´t have enough power to supply so many fans... Use some 3pin->4pin adapters and connect your fans direktly to your powersupply. !!!BUT: Some Abit mbs have a securityfunction so that they just work when the fan1 is connected!!!
I´ve got a KT7A-Raid mainboard with 2 IBM DTLA307045 (striping) and a WD600AB (which is not in a array). After installing Win 2000 on the array (with newest drivers) there appeares a message containing that one of the striping HDDs is broken. I think a HDD can´t be destroyed just by restarting...
