try replacing the battery,that shoud fix your problem

check out msi forum,while there click om "old forum" tab,you will find hundreds of these boards dying,msi knows there is a problem and are exchanging the boards,i had the same as you k7t pro 2a and mine died 3 weeks ago and msi replaced it with the k7t turbo 2:D

i have that board with 1 ghz tbird and im using win me and i used all drivers that came with my hardware,didnt d/l new drivers and ive had no problems of any kind,its very stable for me,but i did a clean install though

if you have a 98 or 98 se cd you can go to wal-mart and buy the promotional step-up and just do a clean install,it will ask for proof of having 98 during install,the step up is only 49.00,i used that on both my systems and i have no problems at all

i have my hard drive as master on middle connector and my dvd as slave on the end connector per manual but i just read a post on another forum where they advised someone to put the master on the end and the slave in the middle ,so do i have mine wrong or what,im having absolutely no problems
