OK. So i installed my new Hitachi GD-7500 DVD-Rom Drive. 12x/40x. I put a CD into it for a test run, and it doesn't read. The drive just spins the CD. I took the CD out, and there was a huge circle gouge on it. Why is the head scratching the CD? I flashed the BIOS for the drive...but i doubt...

Partition it. It needs to be a DOS partition to be seen by windows. YOu don't need an extended partition if you don't want to split your hard drive.

read my sig details: 9.5x multiplier, 106fsb, 1.85 cpu core voltage.

Alpha PAL6035 with Sunon 26cfm 60mm fan. GlobalWins are good too. The 32-1 and the 38 are the same sinks, just different fans. If you compare cooling from GW and Alpha sink, using same fan, the Alpha will cool better. You can always change the fan on the Alpha anyways. You might wanna go...

I can get my multiplier up to 10x with my duron 800 on that mobo, but with the restart/no post problem. 9.5x gives absolutely no probs. Want to get new ram so i can o/c more with fsb. Currently running 9.5x103. Make sure you have a good heatsink/fan.

Alpha PAL 6035 with 26cfm Sunon 60mm fan. Bought from plycon.com. Shipped to my house within 4 days. Good cooling, and EASY to install with the new clip. GlobalWin makes good heatsinks. 32-1 and 38 are the same heatsink, just different fans.
