Is it possible to get motherboard type in Linux through shell? Just run some command on shell and get motherboard type? I couldn't find such infor in "/proc"
My computer has 256 MB of Ram. Sometimes it works very slow, using Virtual Memory but CPU % is very low.
I don't understand why CPU average is pretty low. Why the CPU cannot increase CPU average and than the Virtual Memory will decrease.
I'm confused!
I always wanted to ask: Why some commands I must start as ./command and some just command?
I think that if I type just command it should be in my path when I type ./command not in my path. Correct?
Example:
[root@localhost sbin]# ./iptables -L
Chain INPUT (policy ACCEPT)
target prot opt...
My server Red Hat 7.2 was hacked yesterday :(
It is possbile to see an IP address of a person that was login on my server. How can I see and find out who was login in the server?

I used Kmail and loved it with RH 7.3 but when I installed Red Hat 8.0 KMAIl started crashing very often . So I decide it to try XIMIAN.
So What are you prefer? Kmail or Ximian?

I use CMD (Command Prompt) but the interface is not very nice. Does someone use another program similar to Command Prompt for Windows? Maybe similar to Bash or something like that.

I installed Red Hat 7.3 but X window crashes all the time. I got an error message:
INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes
Can someone give me an adveice how to solve the problem?
