Slipstream Windows 7: Is It Worth It?

Weird that 2 1/2 years after RT7 came out it's still in the same Beta version. Seems the author has not bothered to update the program out of Beta. Guess he abandoned it for some reason.

Oh ok. I'm sure you noticed the red hexagons on your second vid (since you had said you didn't notice them).

    And your point is?

    Tomb Raider (2013)

I didn't see hexagons when looking at the sun. I saw flashes of circles. Those are lens flares.

Don't confuse droplets with hexagons. The only time I saw water droplets appear on the screen is during cutscenes. Also when taking damage, though they are not droplets, simulated blood splatter appears on the screen until you heal. Both of those are quite different from the Tinkerbell hexagons...

    Tomb Raider (2013)

Yep they are gone!! They got rid of all the screen effects including the rain droplets and damage blood splatter. I didn't mind the last two but maybe they had to either get rid of them all or keep them all. That's ok with me. I'll gladly give up the water droplets that you only saw during...

    Tomb Raider (2013)

Anyone tried it yet? I hope when they say removed water and blood "drop", they meant the hexagons. There are actually water drops on the screen that don't look bad and simulated blood drops on screen when you suffer damage. I can live with those but the damn hexagons got to go. I hope they are...

    Tomb Raider (2013)

I also thought is was a great game otherwise. The effects besides being immersion killing, were just ill placed to me and not even consistent. Here you go next to a waterfall and get the effect but walking in pouring down rain and no effects. Then the screen filling up with red hexagons when...

    Tomb Raider (2013)

Max settings. Can't believe some can play this game and not notice those. The only time those didn't appear was before the game was patched. From the first patch on, that screen effect is there. Skinning an animal. More dots. Go into the game and take screenshots of skinning an animal...

    Tomb Raider (2013)

It's not a grain dirt effect. It's big hexagon dots all over the screen. Like this.

    Tomb Raider (2013)

No dude they don't. There is no way to turn them off. If you get close to water (like a waterfall) or skin an animal, the big hexagon dots will appear all over the screen, doesn't matter how far into the game you are. Easy to test. Just go back into a game and walk close to a waterfall (don't...

    Tomb Raider (2013)

Nope, those screen effects stay through the entire game. I know, I've played it to the end.

    Tomb Raider (2013)

I can't stand the screen effects of big hexagon dots all over the screen that I guess is supposed to simulate water and blood. Don't know what thought up that idea but apparently someone thought it would look cool (it doesn't, it looks like crap). It is very distracting and immersion killing...

my 3770k requires really high voltages? temperatures too high?

Delidding just makes no sense to me (with the work involved and losing the warranty). I have my 3770k running 4.4 gigs at 1.17 volt at load at around 65c. That's plenty good enough for me and I can hang with that all day long. I don't have the need of some of these overclockers to have my system...

Questions about offset mode & LLC for 3770K overclocking.

From reading a lot of forum stats on different bios setting results for voltage, you got a low result of 1.2 volts with a +.050 offset. Other results I've seen with people running those kinds of offsets at 4.5 gigs are well into the 1.3s. I used a +.005 offset on my 3770K @ 4.4 gigs and the...
