I was planning o getting the eVGA 680i board for $250 then i noticed that i can get the ASUS 650i board for $129 I am putting one 8800gts on it (slight posibility of adding a second in SLI in the future) At a $121 savings is it better to get the 680i or the 650i board?

true story.. I have heard of too many people with an array lose one disk and after installing the new disk think they are clisking on rebuild missing disk when really they are rebuilding the whole array (erasing everything) im not pointing any fingers. <---------- but a valid back up...

yep misread the size on the other drive. well at least thats still a good deal set up the two 500gb 7200.10 in raid0 as system partition. and set up the 250gb drives in a raid1 or add another for raid5... thanks..

thanks on catching the EAX and X-Fi support.. looking at its list of features did not list these. I am using a set of 5.1 speakers and a normal headset for ventrilo. as long as it has EAX support i could care less about the x-ram...

Im wondering why you suggest this.. It does not seem suitable for gaming at all. does not include x-ram, x-fi or even EAX support for games. This card is almost complete designed for music only and offers nothing for gaming??
