Well, i thought that there's a beep code for a PSU failure. It should be, according to Gigabyte, continuous short beeps. But it means "normal beeps". Not these ticks. So either it's one of those rare cases where there's no beep code or it's simply not a psu failure. As for the pc still working -...

Not from the PSU..It's from the internal speaker. And btw. when the ticking occurs, fans and lights are working.

I should add that after many trials, i managed to boot up. Then the system ran a whole day without problems. So whatever part is faulty, it managed to be suddenly ok. If that's in any way relevant..
