Taking a quick look at the GPU 2015 Benchmarks in Anandtech's bench. I may be wrong here, but if Fury X is 1.5x the performance of the 290x, it will just match the 980ti. I really hope it has the same overclocking headroom as the 980ti, or AMD could be in trouble.
I know you have some major sponsors, but just out of curiostiy ( I am wanting to build a setup like yours, with out the dual system.) What would all of this run you?
I'm not sure what you mean by "actual quad core architecture", but i assume you mean quad core on a single piece of silicon. I've got to ask, since Intel was the first to release a cpu with an on die gpu, does that mean the AMD is now copying them with Llano?
Atom's are not a die shrink of a P3. The P3 was an out of order microarchitecture, the atom is not.
And for the record, Intel is destroying AMD in the gpu market. They have over 50% percent of the market. You say we don't need top end cpu's, which may be true, but most people don't need...
I building a new rig from scratch and am a little confused on RAID. I will be using a SSD drive for my main windows and games drive. ( I haven't decided which yet. I'm looking at these: Intel X25-M, Crucial RealSSD C300, OCZ Vertex 2.)
Any advice would be great.
But my real dilemia is that...
I just my Haf X in, wow this thing is bigger and heavier than i thought, I love it! I should be getting the rest of my system in next week and will post pics, so you guys can critique my cable management abilities.
Wow. How about we wait until Bulldozer is out until we decide which is better. Right now all we have about Bulldozer is paper. I really hope Bulldozer lives up to the recent hype, if it doesn't AMD is going to be in a real bad position, with Ivy Bridge and 22nm right around the corner.
When are you going to give up the argument that SB is just a derivative of Nehalem. Its not.

Or how about just this quote from it:
I thank everyone for their advice. THe purchase of the motherboard is still about 2 weeks away, but I think I've decided against the Intel.
Here is what I have narrrowed it down to know, any aadvice would be great:
GIGABYTE GA-X58A-UD3R

It is the retail edge program, and I just ordered my cpu form them. All told the CPU was a little over $240 with tax and shipping.
Still undecided on which Asus motherboard to get, If you guys have any advice, I would greatly appreciate. It doesn't have to be an Asus board.
I was planning on waiting to do my new build until Sandy Bridge was released, but I have now have to opportunity to get the I7-970 for around $200. This is too good to pass up.
My question is, I can also get the Intel Desktop Board DX58SO for around $170 more or should I just get the CPU...
