Alright, I got to the bios screen, enabled legacy boot and am now at the windows 7 install screen. However a new problem arose:
"windows cannot be installed to this disk. the select disk is of the gpt partition style"
I've tried every drive and I've tried formatting the drives and deleting...
i see a power button which lights up "blue", i press that computer goes into sleep mode. press f12 nothing happens.
a google search of "lenovo blue button" doesn't yield much, nor tell me where this button is, user guide doesn't mention blue button either
steps 1-13 is covered by the program I used to create a bootable usb drive
step 14 "Once this is done you will need to get a copy of the EFI boot manager firmware file from a computer that has windows 64 bit installed on a UEFI system."
I don't think I have a UEFI system, so I can't get this...
i don't see that option anywhere, Im not sure I'm even looking at the bios screen in windows 8
UEFI Firmware settings I can select and then I get to a pretty poor "BIOS" screen that doesn't look like much
It says: boot menu App menu
If i press enter on anything the computer boots up again...

I'm installing from the desktop, i just double click the the setup.exe from the usb drive. I don't know how to select where it tries to install windows on, I thought that was done later on in the menu's after i click the setup.exe but it won't let me get that far. I don't think im going to...
