Just wondering if somebody might know the pci-e spec for connect3d x800xl. Or is there some way I could tell.
I couldn't find anything definite on the web as to whether it is pci-e 1.0, 1.0a, or 1.1.
The new motherboard I have coming is pci-e 2.0 which is only backwards comp with 1.1...
Well PC wizard gives me erroneous readings on the cpu core clock.
Anyways, I tried a new power supply and no change. I also tried the stock intel cpu fan but still got the same results...about half speed. I looked at the box for my thermaltake V1 and that specs fan speed at 1300 - 2000...
UPS is ~4 months purchased when system put together. Electrical/wiring house non-issue.
Here is an interesting screen shot. CPUID doesn't like the memory section in version 1.36..and on 1.41 it is giving the wrong core clock. Temps seem a bit low...house is at ~60F...
Power and temp settings are fine in cpuid. I rand UBCD memtest 86+ overnight with no errors.
Fan still runs half power like: it runs from about 200 to 650 rpm when it should be running from ~400-1300 but everything else seems back to normal, I am not getting the sputtering fan I was getting...
1 strange test result
running SP2004: which ever cpu I start last gets stuck in page mode when running the blend (cpu and ram tests run normally)
****nm I guess it is just the version I was using...with orthos I don't get the problem. Back to the drawing board.
Nope not a single hardware change since build. No driver updates for a couple of months.
Yep, wouldn't get into bios...just snagged on the post screen no matter what I tried.
But I finally tried swapping the memory to the other channel (1) and got it to boot...all the way to windows...
My own build
Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R
Intel e4300
Patriot PC6400 2GB single module PEP22G6400EL
Antec True Power Trio 550
I have never noticed any throttling and the temps have always been low on the cpu.
The only thing I can probably do is swap memory slots being that it is a single...
The computer was working fine it has never showed any indication of possible problems. Put it together maybe 4 months ago. Today I went to turn it one and it wont move past the post screen...it just gets stuck, no response to keys, wont let me enter bios, doesn't sound like it is doing...
I just got a new system up and running today with the board. I am very impressed. No problems at all. This is my first C2D build coming from am AMD x2 setup. I have the e4300 at 3ghz easy. I just can't wait until penryns and ddr3 are dirt cheap. Awesome board with long life / upgrade path...
well i tried 1005 again and it works (as far as HT multis go) but its the most unstable of em all so far...
anyone have the 1006.003's (not the 1006s on asus site right now)?.
..oh yeah, if ya wanna see my problem its about 5 posts up. thanx.
HELP!
I seem to have a unique problem with the bios issue. I couldn't get the HT multi out of 4x for the life of me. I never really messed with it until I was using 1008 or the beta 1010. I have tried both the windows flash and the dos flash methods for both. I also set the bios to...
Well from what I have read over various forums: CABNE was limited and people jumped on those becuase that's the same core as an FX-57 i.e. godly overclocks. CABYE seems to be a fairly proficient overclocker and would definately be desirable over the CABGE stepping.
Id bet you they are all...
I noticed that on the description but I couldn't pass up on the good price...
it should be a full retail package though (new/sealed from factory) and thats probably a mistake or the third fan isn't pre-installed. Unless they got a bunk shipment from antec and thats why they are selling em at...
