My first build with my own money was a AMD build, it gave me very good performance ( at the time) compared to Intel within a small budget.
Always felt AMD cared about its customers, and Intel comes across as more corporate. Just a personal feeling. Maybe its just a case of rooting for the...
I am a huge AMD fan, 3 out of my 5 builds have been AMD. But I cant justify getting such low performing CPUs.
Not a flame bait thread, I really want to proudly buy a AMD CPU and tell the world to buy AMD and that its BETTER than intel like during the Athlon64 days. I honestly cant recommend...
Mid-tower....I just dont want to go back to mid tower, its too cramped.
A full tower is fine, even a reasonable ultra tower is good (size and weight).
What about the Phantom?
Or something from Thermaltake?
I am getting so confused and double minded here...should I just go for the...
I am getting second thoughts about the 900D, it might be a little too big and too much for my needs. My reasoning for getting it is to keep it around for atleast 8 years or so and flexibility for future builds.
I still have a day or 2 to change the case, should I change? I dont see myself...
I guess its the brand experience, I have had very good experience with Crosair, and it will backup me up when I overclock. I still have time to switch to G.Skill, but I have not heard must about this memory? whats its background etc.
EDIT: I just might go with Vengance...up it to 3000mhz speeds
This is what I ended up going with
I75820K
X99
RAMPAGE V EXTREME
Crosair Obsidian 900D
Dominator Platinum Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4 DRAM 2800MHz C16 Memory Kit (CMD16GX4M4A2800C16)
Hydro Series H110i GT 280mm
And some extra Fans for the case.
Ye full tower, keeping everything else, GPU ( 670 Gtx), PSU and HDDs/SSDs.
Also dont want windows....if they cant be avoided, I will just have to block them up, if the case excels.
I have been running an i7920 for a long time now and finally think its time to upgrade, even though I have not been running into many performance issues. (Mostly gaming/Emulation)
Was looking at the Haswell-E series and think a 6 core part should last me a long time like the I7920. I already...
disabling all picture processing is a feature for me :), makes it more PC friendly. You can disable overscan on the display or are you doing it through the video card settings?
