Fermi's already have significant price drops

ugh, that sucks! i like to stay where it's freezing cold all year long. i'm running a 27" lcd at 1920x1080 off of crappy integrated VGA graphics, i don't know if i can keep this up for long if I play anything other than CS 1.6. i don't know if i can hold out for when the current lineup of...

Fermi's already have significant price drops

I have an idea. Let's stop getting angry about the internet and talk about what is realistic and what we can expect in terms of Fermi price drops. I mean, the point of this thread was to talk about Fermi price drops.

Fermi's already have significant price drops

These are my thoughts. My PSU is only 370W, but it's rather nice so I should be able to sell it if need be. I'd get a new PSU + Fermi if I could get a Fermi for less than a 5670, but still, a 5670 will at least run on my current PSU.

Fermi's already have significant price drops

I would really love it if Fermi cards had a sudden giant price drop. I suppose it's possible seeing as supposedly the factories making Fermi chips are refusing to make any more until nVidia sells more cards. I'd get a Fermi if it dropped to around/below $100 soon (although that's very unlikely).

Is this GT 220 worth it?

Would a 4670 be able to handle 1080p?

Is this GT 220 worth it?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130522 I am intrigued by this since it is only $40 after rebate. I was considering a Radeon 4670 or similar, since I am led to believe this is about equal in power, but seems to be much cheaper. Is there any reason not to get it at this price? Do...

    bigger problem

Do you have another computer/know anybody that has another computer you can plug your 4890 into? 700W should be sufficient for a 4890 but there's only one way to tell.

XP won't detect 1TB hard drive, Win7 recognizes it fine?

I'm positive it's SP3. Got the ISO from MSDN. My two internal hard drives are a 640GB SATA and a 750GB SATA so I'm sure it has no problem seeing partitions of that size, i'm just not sure why it thinks the 1TB NTFS partition of my external is unformatted. It doesn't ask me to initialize it when...

    Computer Intermittently Refuses to Post

This happened to me on last computer I built (ECS A780GM-A Ultra). Updating to the latest BIOS fixed the problem for me. I'd suggest checking for a BIOS update, and if you already have the latest version (or that doesn't fix it), doing what sandorski said.

XP won't detect 1TB hard drive, Win7 recognizes it fine?

I'm kind of at a loss for what to do here. Google didn't help. My main computer runs XP SP3. It used to run Windows 7, but recently I went back to XP. My laptop still runs Windows 7. The drive is a Hitachi SimpleTech 1TB USB hard drive formatted with a 1TB NTFS partition. It works on all of...

the mysterious case of the Acer Aspire One, random lockups, and strange power issues

I have tried a USB external DVD drive as well to no avail. I've also tried it with three different flash drives. I may have forgotten to say this in the OP, but I've successfully installed Windows 7 plenty of times before both with USB DVD drives and USB flash drives.

How do they determine the difficulty rating of sudoku puzzles?

i know this very well may not be the optimal solution, but if i were to implement such a feature i would probably do a depth-limited search and then use a fitness function to determine how much of the puzzle the depth-limited search solved and assign it a fitness value accordingly. something...

What is the absolute best Anti-Virus program ?

i've tried many, many different anti-viruses and I have decided that Kapersky and MSSE are the best choices. MSSE works almost as good as Kapersky, but is free, and takes up fewer resources. AVG is good too, but I personally prefer MSSE of course, limited account is one of the best things you...

the mysterious case of the Acer Aspire One, random lockups, and strange power issues

i'm really at a loss for what the problem is with my Aspire One netbook. it is the AAO110 model, currently running Ubuntu 10.04. i never expected it to hold up this long, as it was only around $180 new in 2008. however i'm trying to keep it running for as long as possible, because since I don't...
