no - there is an additional connector on the mobo for it, not the card itself

I have my MSI (pci-e) running at 565/1140 - haven't had any issues.

I have the PCI-e version of this msi 6600gt and I can check the temp in the nvidia control panel. I have mine OC'd to 565/1140 and it hits about 60-62 after an hour or so of HL2. *Running the beta 67.03 drivers - Had some Far Cry issues so I went with no driver, guess I'm not sure if it helped...

yeah the gigabyte is not ultra - i got the chaintech because i wanted to be able to use the sata II and other ultra features - now if only the kind ups man will bring it to me....
