wow, thanks guys, that's a lot of good info !
Looks like I still have some reading to do but thanks to your suggestions I can narrow down the search.
I've had good luck with the two DFI boards I've owned so I'm kinda leaning towards the DFI P965-S Dark and the VGA 122-CK-NF68-A1 . I've never...
I've got a 6420 in the mail and 2 GB of crucial ballistix PC2-6400 ram on the way.
Right now I've got a opteron 165 and DFI board oc'ed but I havent kept up with the Intel changes since.

Are you sure this is one of the best LCDs for gaming? I'm looking for an LCD to match up with my shiny new 7900 gt but the resolution on this one seems kinda low, only 1280X1024 and just 16.2m colors? Isn't that a sign of a lower quality LCD ?
I've got the DFI SLI board coming in the mail and Ive got a seagate sata II drive also coming.
I've heard of situations where you have to use a floppy drive to install the sata drivers on other mobos when the sata drive is going to be the boot drive (during windows install) and was wondering if...

This may seem like a dumb question but I couldnt find the answer anywhere.

So if I'm right, I need another backplate? But from where?
I watched the video....
I took the bracket around the cpu off like the Zalman video shows and tried to put the nipples in, but they dont reach far enough to screw into the plastic piece in the back of the MB that held the bracketing in.
so it looks like I need to get a backplate from...
