My buddy just called me to let me know that it's now working. It turns out the diskette we were using the other night did not contain the latest drivers after all. After resetting the CMOS ram and using the newest DFI drivers (version 5.03 I believe) it now works as expected.
So it looks...
Try these two things:
1) Run memtest86 on your machine for a few hours. This should heat up your CPU and stress your memory. It's a good test to make certain at least that part of the machine is stable.
2) Try disabling power management in the bios. I've seen that cause reboot/bluescreen...
