I got an unexpected interrupt - Halting message from memtest. Should I, therefore, get the RAM refunded? Is it important if the PC is performing properly? I have recently discovered that the error in Call Of Duty is common, and is not realted to particular hardware.

It's just done it again, about the same amount of playing time.

My PC Mark score came out as 4003, and when compared with others it seems that the RAM is performing at the speed that it should.

So, is my PC ok, is the RAM failing? It seems to be running OK.

It didn't complete, it came up with unexpected interrupt - halting.

Do I just copy the file called memtest to the disk? I copied install and rawrite too and it came up with disk I/O error when I tried to boot from it.

I've disabled cool and quiet as I don't really trust it now, I'd rather the heatsink running at full speed all the time. Hopefully it won't shutdown while playing Call Of Duty again.

Do you have a direct link to a memtest installer for winXP?

When I just went back on to Call Of Duty, all the graphics settings were at the lowest level and looked terrible, and so did the sound. When I clicked optimal system settings it set it back to how it should be. When I checked other games, the settings were the same, could uit actually have been...

I didn't have to unplug anything, nor did the power light turn off, and I'm sure I could still hear the PC running, it came back on fine when I pressed the restart button.

This is the first time, I've only had the PC running since this morning, I haven't overclocked it. The only thing I've done is enable coll and quiet, and change the RAM settings from auton(DDR200) to DDR400.

I eventually chose an Antec Sonata case rather than the Chieftec, and I went for much cheaper Kingmax PC3500 RAM because the performance difference is so slight. I should have it finally running tomorrow when the RAM arrives.

THey don't state than any PC3500 RAM is compatible with the board, so I suppose they'd say the same if I contacted them. Has anybody had any experience with this board and RAM, or would anybody like to recommend an alternative that is proven to work?
