just thinking that you should really go for a dell e1705, dont forget the coupon, you should get same or better specs for a lower price. but the support is not that good, you get what you pay from dell.

thanks. how much power they (x1700 and 7700) consume compared to the others (x1600 and 7600)? is that really noticeable or is it like 3-5%?

you could get an e1705 with 7900gs for like $1100 after coupons, of course it wouldn't be mobile, but its nice to game and the screen is nice to watch movies ;) just go on dell.com and select the e1705 built by you and change graphic card, dvdrw, it will get close to 1400 and there is a 25%...

what can i upgrade easily in the i9300? how many slots of memory? can i change hdd by myself? well I am going to buy a new inspiron 9300 and i am just wondering what I can buy from 3rd party, to save some money :)
