Ah i didnt realize this was needed.. i thought i could use the dhcp option setting with the routers dns but it didnt work (this works on a corporate setting).
I'm running openvpn via the xt8.. i find that on remote connections, you can only connect to machines via ip addresses.. you have to use a local host file to do this by name.
Im running things at udp/tun mode.
Is there some sort of workaround, i've tried everything and cant find a way.
Thanks...
Update, so with my xt8 asus, a few things i did..
It was suggested elsewhere to revert to a firmware from feb 2021 or previous (3.0.0.4.386.42095 or before). The 2021 feb one (42095) didnt seem to make a difference so i went with 3.0.0.4.386_41793
I dont think this was the fix.
I then went...
I have this combo of hardware and it seems ever since i did a recent firmware update, that now the nest goes to offline mode randomly.
*I guess if i thought i could go back a firmware level (somehow) i'd try to go back to the last one?
Has anyone else ran into this and knows of a fix?
Thanks...
I have a 25.3 cu ft GE (GSS25LSLSS ), i'd like to add the drawer from its similar model the GSS25GSHSS.
Has anyone done this and knows of the part number for what i'm looking to to do?
Thanks in advance
Well, i had thought id seen bad reports in the past, but hadnt really dove in till now, we were in a hurry old fridge died, needed something quick and size for dollar at 1300 this was the one.
I see there are cheaper ice maker units out there too. Alternatively can add an extra bucket of ice...
Our old fridge of nearly 30 years with a built (inside) ice maker finally died. It always made a ton of ice in one day. It was roughly 21cu ft of total space, so we wanted something a bit bigger because space was limited for a family of 5.
We decided to get this fridge from Lowes...
They are on older netgear 10/100 POE switches.. my one colleague said he highly recommended getting rid of those switches and going the stacked route completely (even over having the 2530s on the side too).. either way he felt trying to vlan from hp brand to netgear was probably going to get...
I confirmed our phones only have 10/100 ports.. so there goes 72 ports of consolidation. Now i need at least two 48's worth to dedicate only to phones, which sucks (or 3 24s).
Our internet provider is fios.. around 70 Mbit up/down.. so yeah i guess ill put all heavy hitters in the stack.. how...
Just a little background didnt mention.. over the years here i've primarily been on the software end of things (mcse), so digging back into the networking again has taken a little time, but getitng there (appreciate all the help)...
I'm curious.. what tools do you use to determine if the load...
Spoke to CDW reps today..
They recommended going with 2530's as the other "three" switches that arent stacked (unless i decide i want to stack them later, in which case they need be 2920s).. downside is that they are limited to 1gb uplinks i think (maybe ok, unsure)..
Alternatively I could go...

Noted on the recertified support contract.. that may change things (or maybe not, unsure yet).. i'd assume a CDW "recert" refurb will be much higher in cost than one of those other two sites.
On the 2930F, then i guess its a matter of determining if that will be enough bandwidth for our...
Sounds as if we should be fine with any POE offering from these choices then, maybe with some tweaks on the hardware configuration interface.
When i spoke to hp they said that they offer the lifetime warranty ability on any refurb no matter where its bought from.. thats why i havent blinked too...
